Q: Can I place an order for the entire month, week, or each day?
A: This new online ordering system gives parents complete flexibility. You can place an order for the entire month; or daily, if you prefer. You may order up to 8:00 a.m. on the day of service.
Q: How do I cancel lunch and get credit?
A: If a parent needs to cancel lunch for any reason, such as a child’s illness, they can do so by emailing the Food Service Director at firstname.lastname@example.org . Cancellations may be made up to 8:00 a.m. The purchase price of that meal will be credited back to your credit card.
Q: Can a parent change the item they have chosen for a particular day?
A: If a parent needs to change a child’s meal, they would have to email the Food Service Director, who can make that change for them. This cannot be done online for an order that was already placed.
Q: What type of confirmation will parents receive regarding their orders?
A: After a parent places an order, they will receive an email with the detail of their order/s. It will indicate the meal choice ordered on which day and the price of that meal.
Q: What do I do if my child has special dietary needs, such as a food allergy?
A: The online ordering system has a Special Information section, where parents can put this type of information. In the case of a child with serious dietary needs, we strongly encourage parents to email the Food Service Director to discuss the child’s needs and ensure that the menus available will satisfy and protect the child. It is necessary to fill out the “Indicate your Special Needs” section each time you place an order.
Q: What is included with my meal? Do I have to pay extra for a beverage?
A: Each meal is designed to be a wholesome, complete meal. Each meal will contain the entrée, fruit and/or vegetables and a beverage choice. The beverage choices are: water, low fat milk, 2% milk, low fat chocolate milk or skim milk.
Q: Can I order a snack with my child’s meal?
A: If a child would like to make a purchase to augment their meal, they can select from the dessert/snack section of the pull-down menu. These items are available at an extra charge. Snack items can also be purchased on a day when you are not making a meal purchase.
Q: Can my child continue to order a second slice of pizza?
A: Yes, this is one of the menu choices. You will see, when placing an order, a one-slice pizza meal, as well as a two-slice pizza meal.
Q: Can faculty and staff participate in the Village Fresh program?
A: Yes. Any staff member can enter information for an order, similar to a student and then choose “Staff” when indicating which homeroom class they are in.
All orders can be cancelled up until 8am the day of. A refund will be processed and will be refunded to the method of payment used. To cancel a meal and/or request a refund, please contact the School Food Service Director, Maureen Dichiara at email@example.com

Important consideration for parents when deciding to participate in
Gluten-Free school lunch offerings:
Pomptonian’s staff prepares and cooks a wide variety of meals in the Ben Franklin Middle School (BFMS) kitchen and does not have separate equipment and space for gluten-free (GF) meal preparation. To minimize the chance for cross-contamination, the GF items that are available for pre-order, are prepared in the BFMS kitchen by trained staff with, as per the manufacturer’s label, gluten-free ingredients.
